Rosa and Favretto have always enjoyed a strong market reputation for the knowledge secured over the years serving all mayor tool makers and press brake makers in Italy and abroad.

Backed by a long lasting expertise in designing profile grinding machines specific for press brake tools the list of our end users is long where the majority of them operates multiple machines of ours installed over a long time span.

Rosa machine model SILVER 60.9 CNC recently completed for our good customer Plasmet in Poland ranks first for technological features among those manufactured this year.
It’s a remarkable piece of equipment under many aspects.
First of all the grinding capacity is outstanding; with a maximum grinding length of 6250 mm a cross grinding width of 950 mm and a weight capacity of 4000 kg. the machine can accommodate tools in any size.
Moreover, even the most complex profiles can be formed on the grinding wheel thanks to a CAD-to-dresser processor available directly on the machine. In a such manner the profile can be easily and quickly defined and made ready for dressing starting from the workpiece drawing.

For this purpose in order to maximize the profiling capabilities available with this machine the rotary dresser in mounted on a CNC-controlled C axis swivelling +/- 30 degrees in full automatic mode so that even the most complex geometries can be realized by C – Y – Z axes simultaneous interpolation.
As to the grinding process machine bed consists of a single piece casting and the grinding head is equipped with a very robust grinding spindle so that efficient stock removal rate, even on hard and tough to grind materials can be achieved meanwhile guaranteeing the lowest surface finish roughness.
The grinding spindle is equipped with an hydraulic operated collet so that the change of the grinding wheel is really fast.


This new SILVER 60.9 CNC is the seventh Rosa surface & profile grinding machine delivered to Plasmet in an enduring collaboration started in the early 2000 which has brought remarkable technological enhances and proved mutually beneficial.
